Product Overview

An O-Ring, also known as a packing, or a toric joint is a type of a gasket or a seal in the form of a ring with a circular cross section used to prevent leakage of fluids. O-ring are made up of a variety of material including Viton, Neoprene, Silicone, EPR, PTFE, PU or Nitrile Rubber (also known as BUNA-N). This 12.37 mm O-Ring is made up of a Silicone Compound that is flexible and resistant to extreme temperatures, fungal growth, UV and ozone exposure, and weathering. Silicone offers good temperature resistance but it is not suitable for use with petroleum based oils, or acids. Silicone O-rings are an excellent leakage barrier and are widely used in medical equipments and Breathing Gas Circuits (BCG). They are seated in a groove and compressed between two or more parts thereby creating a seal at the interface. This O-Ring is compatible to be used with Anesthesia Delivery Systems.
