The Potentiometer is a three terminal variable resistor that is able to operate manually. It is used in various electrical and electronic circuits, especially for measuring electromotive force and for controlling the volume by manually varying the resistances. The potentiometer is comprised of a nut, washer, terminals, threaded collar, shaft and other accessories.
