Product Overview
The Lock Washer M4 Internal Tooth - Stainless Steel is a type of washer which is a thin plate with a hole that is normally used to distribute the load of a threaded fastener. They are designed to evenly distribute the pressure of a nut or bolt over the entire surface. It is used to protect the surface from damage by offering space between the surface and fastener. Internal tooth lock washers have internal teeth that extend towards the bearing surface. Internal teeth are designed to prevent a fastener head from loosening with the strut action created by the teeth. The internal tooth lock washer is made up of stainless steel which has excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water. This may act as a mild magnetic washer also prevents the fasteners from corrosion. This part is specifically used in anesthesia machine for fastening the parts together.
